All commercially available soaps contain something we shouldn't put on our skin.

So, What's in YOUR soap?

1,4-dioxane

Carcinogen (causes cancer), kidney and liver damage.  Solvent in paints, varnishes and lacquers

Benzene

Carcinogen (causes cancer) used to make resins, drugs, pesticides, solvents and gasoline

Phthalates (fragrances)

Decreases testosterone/Endocrine disruptor: Causes reproductive and developmental problems

Formaldehyde

Carcinogen (causes cancer):  Used to make resins, glues and for embalming

Phosphates

Causes asthma/lung problems, kidney damage, skin irritation. Used in chemical fertilizers, pesticides and flame retardants

Optical Brighteners

Dyes that absorb UV light and emit blue light.  Causes skin reactions.  Causes reproductive harm

Sodium Laureth Sulfate

Surfactant.  Irritates skin, eyes, lungs.  Causes damage to internal organs

Nonylphenol Ethoxylates

Surfactant. Toxic to nerves, irritates skin, hormone disruptors causing reproductive problems

Ammonium Sulfate

Corrosive and toxic.  Causes eye, skin, lung damage.
